PRIVACY & COOKIES
Your classroom files stay on your device.
The three activity generators process your files in your browser. No account is needed to create an activity.
Files and teaching content
Word files, LaTeX, pictures and saved quiz decks are read locally when you choose them. Creating a PDF or saving a deck downloads a file to your device. Your questions and answers are not automatically uploaded to Tools4Teachers.
Tool suggestions
When you send a suggestion, its description, tool name and any school stage or subject you enter are submitted to Netlify Forms and made available to Dominic Tope. Email notifications go to a private inbox configured with the hosting service. The form does not ask for your name. You can choose “I would like a follow-up reply about this suggestion” and supply your email address. That address is sent with your suggestion and used only to discuss the idea or reply to your enquiry. It is not displayed publicly or used for a mailing list. Leave the checkbox unticked to send without a reply address. Please leave pupil details and other personal information out of your description.
Ideas are used to plan future teaching tools. Netlify also processes technical information for delivery and spam filtering, so submissions are not guaranteed to be anonymous. To request deletion of a suggestion, use the suggestions form, give the tool the name “Privacy enquiry” and describe the submission and approximate date so it can be identified.
Cookies and your choices
This website has no analytics, advertising trackers or optional cookies. Both Accept cookies and Reject optional cookies leave every tool available. You can revisit your choice using Cookie settings in the footer of any page. No optional storage is enabled by accepting, and your choice does not cover services that might be added in future.
After you choose, a first-party cookie and necessary browser-storage copies called ttbt_cookie_choice record your choice, the notice version and when you made it. Both choices are remembered for up to 180 days on this website in the same browser. Visits do not extend that time. The record contains no name, email address or unique visitor identifier. It is used only to remember your privacy choice, including when you return to the main menu or use the Back button.
The browser-storage copy provides a fallback if cookies are unavailable. In a downloaded local copy, the choice is also carried between local HTML pages using a temporary link parameter, then removed from the address bar where the browser permits. It is never added to external links or downloads. Clearing site data, blocking all storage, changing browser or moving to a different domain may mean you are asked again.
Activity data stays in the open page. Save or download your work before closing it. Your browser’s reduced-motion preference is respected. The disabled mathematics menu does not read or save separate display preferences.
When you finish or skip a creator walkthrough, browser storage remembers that choice separately for each tool until you clear site data: t4t_loop_walkthrough_v1 for Loop Card Generator, t4t_bingo_walkthrough_v1 for Bingo Card Generator and t4t_quiz_walkthrough_v1 for Class Quiz Deck. It contains only “completed” or “skipped”, with no personal details or visitor identifier. It is used only to avoid repeating the guide. You can reopen it using “Show me around”. If browser storage is blocked, the guide may be offered again. Prompt-builder entries stay in the open page; they are not sent to an AI service by this website. Copying a prompt lets you choose which external AI service, if any, receives it.
Hosting
The hosting provider receives the technical information needed to serve a page, such as the requested address, IP address and browser details, and may retain security or access logs. This page describes the supplied website code. A private preview hosted by ChatGPT has separate sign-in and privacy arrangements.
Links to other websites
The GCSE Maths Calculator opens on its own website and manages its own preferences. Links do not load the external website until you follow them. Any tools added later will be covered by an updated notice.
